Gemini Education!
Gemini for Google Workspace is adding a new feature to help educators generate vocabulary lists. Accessible through the "Gemini Education" tab in Google Classroom, this tool allows educators to create custom word lists tailored to specific grade levels and topics. Each word on the list will include its grammatical category, a clear definition, and an example sentence to aid student understanding. This feature aims to save educators time and enhance learning experiences.
Navigate to the Gemini Education tab in the navigation bar in Google Classroom.
After adding a grade level and topic to generate a vocabulary list, educators can review it and then export it to a Google Doc.
When using generated content, you should always review the outputs as AI can make mistakes and refine the output so that it fits your context and local policies before assigning to students.

Bulk Grading!
Google Classroom is introducing a "grade all" feature to its Gradebook. This allows teachers to quickly grade all student work at once, saving time and streamlining the process for assignments that are graded on completion (e.g., exit tickets). Teachers can also choose to override existing grades and automatically return graded work to students.
Once you have set up grading, you can follow these steps to grade all:
Go to Google Classroom > Gradebook > In the 3 dot menu for an assignment click “Grade all” > In the dialog that opens, input the bulk grade
[Optional] Select “Override existing grades” to override existing grades with the new bulk grade
[Optional] Select “Automatically return after grading” to return all grades after submitting the new bulk grade.

Student Groups
Google Classroom's "Student Groups" lets you organise your class into smaller groups for activities, differentiated assignments, or projects. This makes it easier to assign work to specific sets of students and manage your classroom more effectively. You can create, edit, and delete groups as needed, adding or removing students with a few clicks.
